I recently had the pleasure of styling singer and mega babe LK Faith for a few different projects. Amongst the numerous rails filled with the dreamiest pieces, the whole team and I expressed a mutual love for Kitty Joseph.
I was introduced to Kitty Joseph a few years ago when I pulled one of her bomber jackets for a shoot but only in the past year have I thoroughly developed a true lust for her impeccably designed collections. The unique hues of each garment and accessory alongside the rare material and flattering cuts (too many turtle necks to choose from) is what makes the brand so fabulous.
Whilst wondering around Brewer Street Carpark’s designer showrooms during LFW SS16 I ended up stopping at Kitty’s showroom and conversing with her for quite a while. Kitty’s cool persona is the most accurate reflection of her whole brand and since meeting her again last week and previewing her AW16 collection, I can confirm that her pieces are only getting better.
Do not be afraid to wear colour girls. Too many of us regularly shield behind black attire because its ‘slimming’ or ‘easy’ or ‘classy’… or boring! Sometimes its healthy to experiment, colour is more complimenting than you realise and can give an extra sass that so many ‘classic’ tones cannot.
I’m back! I’m not even going to say that this time I will be more consistent with my blog because you know we can all talk the talk etc. I’m just going to post when work isn’t drowning me and when all the friends’ birthdays stop.
Anyway I just wanted to share my current ball obsession (and no not that type of ball). The Pom Pom ball obsession- stick a pom pom on anything and I’m fully feeling your flow.
It initiated last year when cute brands on Instagram started creating pom pom earrings which essentially entailed different coloured (usually furry) pom poms hanging off your ear either through a hoop or just a plain clasp. Then it progressed to hair, keys and bags pom poms. During LFW SS15 I wore these fabulous one of a kind heels customised by the amazing Rosie Williams and it seemed WGSN appreciated the coloured balls as much as I.
Of course I was not the first to rock a pair of pom pom ones and twos nor will I be the last but for all those who fancy a pair, he’s a few designers and online stores that can fulfil your needs.
ASOS pommy slippers which I would definitely wear as slides
Agent Provocateur (I much prefer their older pompom mules and eBay have loads for cheap!)
Enjoy pomming about!
